10th Annual Carolina Chocolate Festival!
February 3rd to February 5th, 2012
Vendors from around the state and beyond gather to celebrate one of man's most loved desserts - chocolate! With samplings of everything from candy to cakes to ice cream and more, the festival offers activities for every family member to enjoy. Spa treatments, cooking demonstrations, and dinners too will be featured in this years event. Sign up to participate in the Chocolate Fantasy Challenge Bake Off! All proceeds from the event are donated to support local charities.

| This two-week exhibition and sale of original, innovative and traditional works by area artists occurs each year in mid-February, with the opening reception on February 17th from 6 pm to 8 pm. This exhibition is a great opportunity for art lovers to view and buy original oils and acrylics; water media; photography and computer generated art; glass, stone, fiber arts and other three-dimensional artwork; pastels and drawings; and mixed media. Proceeds benefit the artists and the Arts Council. Admission is free.

| This annual event raises money to feed the hungry and is very popular. Carteret Community College, local potters, high school students, art classes and area restaurants team up for this event in an effort to raise money for Hope Missions and Martha's Mission. For $18 guests receive a handcrafted ceramic bowl and a choice of two delicious soups. Tickets, which are required, are sold in advance, usually in beginning in January, at various locations. This is a popular event and sells out quickly, so call early. | |||
