Expected to be larger than last year with more in water boats and marine related vendors, this year visitors will enjoy an Antique Auto Show on May 19th; ARTrageous!, a public art event also on the waterfront May 19 -20th; a pirate treasure hunt for children ages 12 & under; music; food; entertaintment and more! FREE Concert In The Fort at Fort Macon State Park begins at 7:00 pm. The summer concert series is sponsored by the Friends of Fort Macon & includes pop classics, orchestral band, Cajun, bluegrass and Civil-war era music.

Sit up on the ramparts or down in the main fort area, watch the sunset, see the boats coming into Beaufort Inlet, and listen to great music — this is one of the Crystal Coast’s real treats! Concert-goers are welcome to bring a picnic (no alcohol or pets) and a blanket or lawn chair.

Emerald Isle Walking Club

Join the Emerald Isle Walking Club at 6pm every Tuesday from until October 16th. Each walk will begin and end at the Emerald Isle Community Center with different routes walked each week; most walks will be 2-3 miles. Rain location will be the Emerald Isle Community Center gymnasium.

All ages are encouraged; however, children under that age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is FREE! Points are collected for each walk completed and bonus miles are available for walks completed outside of the Walking Club walks. Prizes will be awarded to participants in different categories. Come join the competition, earn those points and have fun!
